Tic tac toe with glued sounds

Sometimes Fundations can be super fun!  We picked our glued sound chunks and put 9 in a 3x3 box.  The we played it like battleship!  Each partner had to come up with a word hat used one of the glued sounds.  The other person had to hear the chunk then if they had it in their tic tac toe board, they get to flip it around!  The first one to 3 in a row wins!

Little Artists

These are awesome!  I walked into school one day and this is what I saw!  Made me smile!   We have the best little artists in the world!

Day 2 of drumming practice!  Possibly the most fun 40 minutes of the year!  Look at those smiles!

Thick vs. Thin Questions

We have taking about questions and the difference between thick, questions that need research and longer answers, and thin, questions that are answered in yes and no or very brief answers!  

We need to pick at least one thick question in order to begin our genius hour research!

We played a read and race game with lots of questions where the kids needed to decide if it was a thick or thin question!  It was really fun!
