Quiet Time
This is the time of our day where we get to rest and recharge for the afternoon. This is a choice. The kids get to make their first and final choice before we begin and then for the rest of the 10-15 minutes they just... do it! We turn the lights off, turn on some music and either rest or draw (our 2 choices for today). As the year goes on they will have other choices and this is also a great time for me to meet one on one with students about certain parts of curriculum. The kids really look forward to this quiet time of our busy day!
