Read to Self
Today we learned how to borrow books from our leveled library. Soon these will become books we put in our book boxes to exchange on a daily or so basis. We also learned what it means to "Read to Self." This is a time of day that we will use to practice our reading on our own! Right now we are borrowing 4 books to help us sustain a quiet reading environment. We made it up to 7 minutes and 47 second on day 2 of trying to get to 15 minutes without talking, getting up or not reading! Great job first graders!
