Basement

The basement was a place they held all their food for storage and where they kept their washing and tool area.  Check out the bricks, they were all fired here!  And they walnut floor juices were cut by hand and are probably one of the reasons the house is still standing!  The rock base was all pulled from the pulled from the creak behind... Which made it deep enough  for him to create the mill that allowed him to earn his money!
